Privacy Policy
Last updated:
This page explains how Ibiza charter yachts handles the personal data of anyone who visits unanocheenlamovida.es, sends an enquiry, or books a charter with us. It is written under the EU General Data Protection Regulation (Regulation (EU) 2016/679) and the Spanish Organic Law 3/2018 on Data Protection and Guarantee of Digital Rights (LOPDGDD).
If anything here is unclear, write to us at [email protected] and we will explain it in plain terms.
Who is responsible for your data?
The controller of the personal data described in this policy is Ibiza charter yachts, the brand under which unanocheenlamovida.es operates from Ibiza, Spain. We do not publish a company registration number, VAT number or office address on this site, and nothing in this policy should be read as implying one.
For any question about this policy, or to exercise your rights, write to [email protected].
What information do we collect, and where does it come from?
We collect information in the following ways:
- Enquiry form: the name, email, optional phone number, chosen yacht (if selected), charter start and end dates, number of guests and message you type, together with the page URL and the referring website.
- Direct contact: anything you tell us by email or phone when you reach out to us directly.
- WhatsApp click records: when you tap a WhatsApp button on the site, we record the page URL, referrer, site language and the prefilled message text before WhatsApp opens. The conversation that follows on WhatsApp is not stored by us.
- Server logs: standard technical records of each request to the site, including IP address, time, requested page and browser.
- Visit measurement: our own script, served from our own domain, records pages viewed, time on page, the referring site, campaign parameters in the link, device type, browser, operating system, screen size, browser language and the country derived from your IP address. The IP address itself is not stored.
Why do we use your information?
- To answer your enquiry and prepare a written quote: this is a pre-contractual step at your request.
- To manage a confirmed charter, including arranging the crew and vessel: this is necessary to perform the contract between us.
- To keep booking and invoicing records: this is a legal obligation under Spanish tax and accounting rules.
- To keep server logs and detect misuse of the site: this rests on our legitimate interest in keeping the site secure.
- To understand how visitors use the site through our own visit-measurement script: this also rests on our legitimate interest in running and improving the site, without relying on third-party trackers.
We do not use your data for marketing emails unless you ask us to, we do not make automated decisions about you, and we do not sell personal data.
Who do we share your information with?
Your enquiry is stored in our own booking system and forwarded to our team through an internal messaging tool, so the right person can reply quickly. Access is limited to the people who need it to handle your request.
If you confirm a booking, we pass your name, dates and guest numbers to the captain or driver who will carry out the charter, since they need this to prepare the yacht and crew. Spanish port and maritime authorities require a crew list naming everyone on board, so we will also ask you for the full names of all guests before departure and provide them to the vessel's crew for that purpose.
The site is hosted by a hosting provider that stores the files and server logs described above. Web fonts are loaded from Google Fonts, which receives your IP address to serve the font files, and the phone-number field uses the intl-tel-input library loaded from the jsDelivr content delivery network. Neither sets cookies on our behalf.
If you start a conversation with us on WhatsApp, that conversation runs on WhatsApp, a service of Meta, and is governed by WhatsApp's own privacy policy, not by this one.
Do we send your data outside Spain or the European Union?
We do not transfer the data you send us through the enquiry form, email, phone or WhatsApp click records outside the European Union, other than the limited exceptions below.
Loading Google Fonts and the jsDelivr CDN can involve your IP address reaching servers outside the European Union, as part of how those services deliver fonts and scripts. If you choose to continue a conversation on WhatsApp, Meta may process and transfer that conversation internationally under its own privacy policy and safeguards, which we do not control.
How long do we keep your information?
Enquiries that do not lead to a booking are deleted after 24 months.
Booking records are kept for as long as Spanish tax and accounting law requires us to keep them.
Server logs are kept for a short period, only as long as needed to detect and investigate security issues.
The local-storage entry remembering that you closed the cookie notice stays until you clear your browser storage. The session-storage entry remembering a selected yacht is deleted when you close the tab or send the enquiry form. The local-storage entry used for visit measurement holds random identifiers, expires 30 days after your last visit, and can be cleared in your browser at any time.
How do we protect your information?
Enquiries are stored in our own booking system and only shared internally with the people who need them to reply to you or run your charter. We limit what we collect to what is needed to quote and run a charter, we keep server logs only briefly, and we do not install third-party analytics, advertising or social-media trackers that would otherwise collect data about you.
What rights do you have, and how can you use them?
Under the GDPR and the LOPDGDD, you can ask us to:
- Give you access to the personal data we hold about you.
- Correct inaccurate or incomplete data.
- Delete your data where it is no longer needed.
- Restrict or object to certain uses of your data.
- Receive certain data in a portable format.
To use any of these rights, write to [email protected]. We may ask you to confirm your identity before acting on your request, and we will respond within one month.
If you believe we have not handled your personal data correctly, you can lodge a complaint with the Agencia Española de Protección de Datos (AEPD) at www.aepd.es.
Do we collect information from children?
Our charters and this website are directed at adults who are able to enter into a charter contract. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, contact us at [email protected] and we will delete it.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy if the way we handle personal data changes, or if the law requires it. The version published on this page is the one that applies, so please check it before sending us your personal data.
